Day two  aims to create a community for future discussions and networking by inviting practitioners (e.g., teachers, educators, principals, students, leaders, developers, researchers, etc.) to gain a brief overview of the emerging research field of Learning Analytics in the Nordics.  This year, LASI-Nordic provides an introductory overview of learning analytics with a focus on its use in the Nordic educational landscapes.

 

Morning Session

Keynote (TBD)

Tutorial 1: Learner Data in HIgher Education and Lifelong Learning

Examples of learning analytics and data informed teaching from University and Adult Education (including MOOCs, BOOCs, blended learning environments tracking learner data, examples on external data-tracking tools, examples on available data). Discussants from Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Tutorial 2: Learner Data in Primary and Secondary Schools

Examples of learning analytics and data from Primary to Upper Secondary Schools ( including examples of external data-tracking tools such as Gyldendal, Clioonline, Google Chrome books, tablet computers, and other classroom technologies). Discussants from Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Afternoon Session

Nordic  café

Workshop with break-out discussion groups to cover different topics including ethics &, privacy, diverse tools, stakeholder needs, everyday practices, challenges.

Panel Discussion and Next Steps

A Nordic approach for  practice, research, and society with School Leaders, Teachers, Researchers, and Policy Makers.
