Welcome to a SLATEtalk!

On Friday (Nov. 16th) at 12, Jon Hoem, will visit SLATE to present the project Robot Assisted Teaching.

Bring your lunch and join us!

Robot Assisted Teaching use programmable robots to get experience with producing content, teaching methodology and teaching and learning scenarios in the cross section between programming, storytelling and games. The project draws on experiences from previous projects in combination with relatively simple and affordable robot technology. The main goal is that teacher students become able to work with methods and tools that they can later use in their own, future teaching practices. Jon Hoem will show some examples and initiate a discussion about practical applications of this type of technology in teacher education and schools.

Jon Hoem is Associate professor at Department of Arts Education, HVL.
